Get Connected

Written by Connection Church on Jan 10, 2012

It’s true.  The more connected you are the better your experience will be.  We understand, however, that often connection is easier said then done.   For some of us it means needing a new start. For others, it’s learning to know, love, and serve God at a whole new level. Where ever you are in your journey, we are here to encourage, equip and help you get connected.  Below are some entry points that will get you started on the journey.

Discover Connection Church

Discover Connection Church is a class designed to give you a better understanding of what Connection Church is all about.  It takes an in depth look at our vision, values and what makes us tick.  Interested in attending?

Get Connected

The best way to align yourself with an all powerful, yet personal God is by Worshiping and learning in community with others.  Every Sunday morning at 10:30 am we gather for a powerful and inspiring weekend service.  It’s designed to engage you in life-giving teaching, passionate worship and provide you with an opportunity to meet other believers.  But this isn’t where it ends!

The heartbeat of our church is in our Access Points. This is where you can come just as you are, share, and develop lifelong relationships with people who will care for you.

Get into the Word

We believe God’s word is alive and active and provides us with guidance when interwoven into our lives.  At Connection Church, we are passionate about helping people develop a daily exercise of reading God’s word.  If you want to change your life by learning how to read and apply God’s word, sign up for Discipleship 201 by clicking here.  If you don’t have a Bible, we have one for you, free!  You can also read the Bible online at YouVersion.com.

Pray

The Bible assures us that God hears our prayers.  Too often, however, we make it way to complicated.  Prayer is simply talking and listening to God.  It’s connecting with our creator in ways that are unexplainable.

Baptism

When we choose to live by Jesus’ teaching and accept Him as our Savior, it’s important to celebrate with our family, friends, and community! Baptism isn’t something that saves you. It’s a spiritual identification of Christ’s death and resurrection within you and a celebration of your new commitment to God.

Baptism might seem like an unnatural way to share the news about our faith, but it is something Jesus has asked all of us to do, and something even he did himself. Let baptism be the start of many conversations you will have as you share your faith with others.

Giving

As a community, we love the ways our faith is made stronger by giving together. It’s an honor to follow Jesus’ example of generosity to those in need and it is a privilege to use our resources to continue telling God’s story and provide real hope for real people in a real world.

By giving first, we acknowledge God as the giver of everything we have, we trust that He will continue to provide, and we become a part of His work here on earth. It’s something we do with joy!

Volunteer

We have a little saying around Connection Church.  It says, “you grow where you’re planted.”  Here’s what we mean.  The more planted you become in Connection Church, the better chance of growing into a fully devoted follower of Christ you have.  Volunteering is probably the best way to get planted at Connection Church.  Not only will it give you a sense of fulfillment, it will put you in touch with like minded people who will aid you in your journey.

We have so many areas in which you can get involved.
